There are many ways to have dedicious ice cream. One of them is to spice things up. Take at look at some of our wonderful suggestions and make them part of your dessert enjoyment.

Hot Buttered Rum Mix

1 pound light brown sugar
 1 pound confectioners sugar
1⁄2 pound (2 sticks) butter, at room temperature
1 quart vanilla ice cream, slightly melted
 Light rum
 Ground nutmeg for garnish

In a large bowl, blend the first four ingredients together well ( I use my Kitchen Aid Mixer).

To make one drink, put 2 tablespoons of the ice cream mixture in a mug. Add one jigger of rum and fill the mug with boiling water. Garnish the top with the nutmeg. Freeze the remaining ice cream mixture in a plastic container for future use.

This drink is very good without the rum, so everyone in the house can get in on the act.
