Hot Buttered Rum
Mix
1 pound light brown sugar 1 pound confectioners sugar 1⁄2 pound
(2 sticks) butter, at room temperature 1 quart vanilla ice cream,
slightly melted Light rum Ground nutmeg for garnish
In a
large bowl, blend the first four ingredients together well ( I use my Kitchen
Aid Mixer). To make one drink, put 2 tablespoons of the ice cream
mixture in a mug. Add one jigger of rum and fill the mug with boiling water.
Garnish the top with the nutmeg. Freeze the remaining ice cream mixture in a
plastic container for future use. This drink is very good without the
rum, so everyone in the house can get in on the act.
